The Traditionalist - from £49pp

You’re old fashioned and proud. Christmas means turkey and trimmings, pudding and brandy. This traditional menu is cooked with care and precision to extract maximum flavour from high quality ingredients.

The Foodie - from £59pp

You are all for celebrating. You might even put on a party hat. But food comes first and that means anything but turkey. This menu kicks off with a sharing platter of seafood to inject some conviviality into the party.

The Contrarian - from £69pp

You’re quite content being different, some might say stubborn. You like Japanese food all year round. Especially Fried chicken and buns. Did you know that over 3 million Japanese flock to KFC to celebrate Christmas?

No matter how you like to celebrate Christmas, you’ll love at least one of my three menus!

Why?

Treat yourself! Even if you love cooking it’s a treat to enjoy the company of your guests without the stress of constantly getting up and down. Ending a dinner party with an immaculate kitchen is a revelation. No babysitting, no taxis, no table turns.

Who?
You’re the generous host. You’re the organised one in a group of friends. It’s your turn to conceive the departmental dinner. You’re the good boss of a small company. You’re self-employed but encourage other like-minded freelancers to syndicate the cost of a Christmas party.

Where?

Normally at home, but I’ve cooked in boardrooms, art galleries, kitchen showrooms, party barns, rustic barns, school dining rooms, private members clubs, churches, village halls and restaurants.

When?

Lunch or dinner! And not just December either - my last ‘Christmas’ client hosted a Christmas dinner in July, because they work in an industry that is too busy to party themselves.

How many?

During the pandemic, it was as few as 2 people. Then came the Rule of 6. Now it’s generally around 10-16, or whatever your dining room and table can accommodate. With fewer guests, the cost per head is higher, but so too is the ambition of the dishes, the intricacy of the plating and the intensity of the personal chef experience. Between 20 and 200 people, I’d recommend a canape party
