Wine pairing suggestions
Chiaretto di Bardolino: a light-bodied rosé from Northern Italy makes a good aperitif for canapes and will also pair well with sea trout and tomatoes

Vermentino is a versatile white wine with bright acidity and its will pair well with butter, herbs and grilled fish. Other Italian whites to consider are Verdicchio delle Marche, Gavi and Greco di Tufo. Grilled sea bream could also pair successfully with red wine, such as a young and light Chianti or Schiava from Alto Adige, or a dark-coloured rosé such as Cerasuolo from Abruzzo, made from Montepulciano grapes

If you like dessert wines, Vin Santo is a classic dessert wine from Tuscany made from dried grapes with flavours of nuts, honey and caramel which complement coffee and cocoa in Tiramisu. A sweet Marsala, from Sicily, would work in the same way. Alternatively, Recioto della Valpolicella from the Veneto region, is a sweet red wine also made from dried grapes, with dark cherries, chocolate and spiced flavours
